Drug intelligence / Profile preview
IL2110 (also known as IL-2110) is a preclinical-stage small molecule inhibitor of the NLRP3 inflammasome, originally developed by Ildong Pharmaceutical and currently being developed by its spin-off biotech, iLeadBMS. The NLRP3 inflammasome is a multiprotein complex that plays a critical role in the innate immune response by activating caspase-1, which in turn processes the pro-inflammatory cytokines IL-1β and IL-18, and induces pyroptosis. Dysregulation of NLRP3 is implicated in various neuroinflammatory and autoimmune conditions. IL2110 is being investigated for the treatment of neuroinflammatory and autoimmune disorders, with a primary focus on multiple sclerosis (MS).
