ILB-2107 is a preclinical-stage OX40 antagonist being developed by Innolake Biopharm for the treatment of autoimmune diseases. OX40 (CD134) is a member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily (TNFRSF) primarily expressed on activated T cells. While OX40 agonists are typically explored in oncology to enhance T-cell activity, OX40 antagonists aim to suppress aberrant T-cell-mediated immune responses by blocking the interaction between OX40 and its ligand (OX40L). This mechanism is intended to reduce the survival and proliferation of effector T cells and the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines, offering a potential therapeutic approach for various inflammatory and autoimmune conditions.
