ILB-31X is an exosome-based therapeutic candidate developed by ILIAS Biologics. It is designed for the treatment of digestive system disorders, with a primary focus on liver diseases such as alcoholic fatty liver and acute liver failure. The drug utilizes exosomes to deliver a super-repressor form of IκBα (srIκB), which modulates NF-κB activity in Kupffer cells (KCs) within the liver. By inhibiting NF-κB signaling, ILB-31X aims to reduce inflammation and tissue damage associated with alcohol-induced and other forms of liver injury. As of April 2025, its highest development status is preclinical[1][10].
