Overview

ILB-332 is an engineered exosome-based drug designed to deliver an anti-inflammatory agent that inhibits the NF-κB (Nuclear factor kappa-light-chain-enhancer of activated B cells) pathway. The drug is being developed primarily for the treatment of chorioamnionitis and has also been investigated for its potential in preventing infection-induced preterm birth by reducing fetal inflammatory responses. Preclinical studies have demonstrated that exosomal delivery of the NF-κB inhibitor can delay LPS-induced preterm birth and modulate fetal immune cell profiles in mouse models. The originator and main developer is ILIAS Biologics, Inc., with involvement from ILIAS Therapeutics, Inc. and research collaboration with the University of Texas Medical Branch[1].
