Drug intelligence / Profile preview
RMS Regenerative Medical Solutions is developing an iPSC-derived Islet-Like Cluster (ILC) cell therapy for the treatment of Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes. The therapy involves differentiating human induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) into clusters containing insulin-producing beta cells, glucagon-producing alpha cells, and somatostatin-producing delta cells, mimicking natural pancreatic islets. It functions as a cell replacement therapy to restore endogenous insulin production and glucose regulation. Both autologous and allogeneic versions are in preclinical development.
