Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ilon Salbe classic is a traditional herbal ointment developed by Cesra Arzneimittel for the treatment of localized, purulent skin inflammations. Its active formulation consists of larch turpentine, turpentine oil (maritime pine type), and eucalyptus oil. Functioning as a "drawing ointment" (Zugsalbe), it possesses antiseptic properties and promotes blood circulation in the affected area to facilitate the resolution of infections such as folliculitis, pustules, and sweat gland inflammations. It is available as an over-the-counter product in Germany and is currently being evaluated in Phase IV clinical trials for acute folliculitis.
