Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ILYX 002 is an investigational topical immunomodulator developed by Iolyx Therapeutics for the treatment of moderate-to-severe dry eye disease (DED), specifically keratoconjunctivitis sicca associated with systemic autoimmune or inflammatory conditions (ocular complication of autoimmune disease, OCAID). It is a potent broad-spectrum anti-inflammatory small molecule that targets immune pathways implicated in dry eye, specifically Th17 and Th1 signaling. Administered as ophthalmic eye drops, ILYX 002 has demonstrated statistically significant improvements in corneal and conjunctival staining in Phase 2 clinical trials. Laboratoires Théa holds a licensing agreement for the drug's development and commercialization.
