Drug intelligence / Profile preview
IM-CKV063 is a fully human IgG1 monoclonal antibody directed against the chikungunya virus (CHIKV) envelope glycoprotein E2, developed by Integral Molecular using phage display against CHIKV virus-like particles. It recognizes a conformational intersubunit epitope on domain A of E2 at the crest of the trimeric spike, bridging adjacent E2 subunits to stabilize the prefusion conformation and prevent the low‑pH–triggered rearrangements required for fusion loop exposure and membrane fusion. IM-CKV063 potently neutralizes CHIKV, blocking both viral entry and release, and provides prophylactic and therapeutic protection in multiple mouse models of CHIKV-induced lethality and arthritis when administered up to 24 hours post-infection, making it a leading antibody candidate for treatment and prevention of chikungunya disease.
