Drug intelligence / Profile preview
IM1222 is a preclinical, non-capped tri-specific antibody developed by Purple Biotech as a research comparator for their lead candidate, IM1240. Built on the CAPTN-3 platform, IM1222 is the active, non-modified variant of IM1240, lacking the CD3-capping and human serum albumin (HSA) modifications designed to optimize safety and pharmacokinetics. In preclinical studies, IM1222 demonstrated robust induction of cytokines such as IL-6 and TNF-α at low doses but exhibited significantly faster clearance compared to IM1240 due to a CD3-mediated antigen sink effect. It is primarily used in oncology research to evaluate the impact of the CAPTN-3 platform's masking and half-life extension technologies.
