IM19-41BB CAR-T is an autologous, second-generation chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy designed to target the B-lymphocyte antigen CD19. This specific construct utilizes a 4-1BB (CD137) costimulatory domain, which is intended to enhance T-cell persistence and provide a more controlled expansion profile compared to CD28-based costimulatory domains, potentially reducing the risk and severity of cytokine release syndrome (CRS). The therapy is being developed for the treatment of relapsed or refractory CD19-positive B-cell malignancies, including aggressive non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL), diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), and follicular lymphoma. Clinical evaluation is primarily conducted in China, with Beijing Boren Hospital serving as a key clinical site and sponsor for Phase 1 trials evaluating its safety and preliminary efficacy.
