Drug intelligence / Profile preview
IM83 is a GPC3-targeted CAR-T cell therapy developed by Beijing Imunopharm Technology. It is designed as an autologous T lymphocyte replacement therapy in which patient-derived T cells are genetically modified to express a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) targeting glypican-3 (GPC3), a protein commonly overexpressed in certain tumors. The mechanism of action involves gene transference to enable the engineered T cells to recognize and inhibit GPC3-expressing tumor cells. The primary indications under investigation include relapsed or refractory osteosarcoma and advanced liver tumors. Clinical studies are ongoing to evaluate its safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics in these populations[1][5][7].
