IM83 CAR-T cell injection is an autologous chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy targeting Glypican-3 (GPC3). Developed by Beijing Immunochina Medical Science & Technology, it is specifically designed for the treatment of GPC3-positive solid tumors, with a primary focus on relapsed or refractory osteosarcoma. The therapy involves genetically engineering a patient's own T cells to express a CAR that recognizes GPC3, a cell surface protein frequently overexpressed in various cancers but with limited expression in normal tissues. Once re-infused into the patient, these modified T cells are intended to selectively identify and eliminate GPC3-expressing tumor cells. It is currently being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials for patients with relapsed or refractory limb osteosarcoma who have failed or are intolerant to standard first-line therapies.
