Overview

IM96 is an autologous chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy under development for the treatment of solid tumors, primarily metastatic colorectal cancer. It targets guanylyl cyclase 2C (GUCY2C or GC-C), a gastrointestinal-expressed antigen found on tumor cells. The therapy involves engineering a patient's own T cells to express a CAR that recognizes and binds to GUCY2C, enabling targeted immune-mediated destruction of cancer cells. IM96 is being developed by Beijing Imunopharm Technology in collaboration with Peking University Cancer Hospital and has received clinical trial approval from China's National Medical Products Administration for use in metastatic colorectal cancer. Early phase I data show limited but notable efficacy in heavily pretreated patients[1][3][4].
