IMA202 is an autologous adoptive cell therapy consisting of genetically modified cytotoxic CD8+ T cells engineered to express a T-cell receptor (TCR) specific for a nine amino acid peptide derived from the tumor-associated antigen MAGEA1. The therapy is designed to target and kill MAGEA1-positive cancer cells in patients with advanced solid tumors. The patient's own T lymphocytes are collected, transduced ex vivo with a lentiviral vector encoding the MAGEA1-specific TCR, expanded, and then reinfused following lymphodepletion. This approach aims to enhance anti-tumor immune responses by redirecting patient-derived cytotoxic T cells against tumor antigens. Developed by Immatics US, IMA202 has demonstrated manageable safety and biological activity in early-phase clinical trials for various solid tumors[1][2][5][7].
