Drug intelligence / Profile preview
IMA910 + sargramostim + imiquimod is a combination therapy investigated as a therapeutic cancer vaccine regimen for advanced/metastatic colorectal carcinoma. - **IMA910** is a synthetic cancer vaccine comprising 13 tumor-associated peptides (TUMAPs) identified from colorectal tumors. These peptides are selected for their ability to elicit cytotoxic T-cell and T-helper cell responses against cancer cells, facilitating multi-T-cell immune responses associated with improved clinical outcomes in colorectal cancer patients[1][3][5][7]. - **Sargramostim (GM-CSF, brand name Leukine)** is a recombinant human granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor that stimulates white blood cell production (particularly neutrophils, macrophages, and dendritic cells), supporting immune function and enhancing the immunogenicity of vaccines by acting as an immunological adjuvant[2][4][6]. - **Imiquimod** is a topical immune response modifier that acts as a toll-like receptor 7 (TLR7) agonist, activating innate immune responses and further promoting vaccine-mediated and antitumor immunity. This combination is designed to maximize both the induction and amplification of antigen-specific immune responses against colorectal cancer. In clinical studies, vaccination regimens with IMA910 plus sargramostim (GM-CSF) with or without imiquimod, following pre-treatment with low-dose cyclophosphamide, were explored. The combination was found to induce robust, multi-peptide-specific T-cell responses and was generally well tolerated[1][3][5]. Primary indication: advanced colorectal carcinoma.
