Overview

IMA950 is a therapeutic multi-peptide cancer vaccine composed of 11 tumor-associated peptides (TUMAPs) identified on primary glioblastoma cells. It is designed to activate TUMAP-specific T cells, thereby stimulating an immune response against glioblastoma and other malignant gliomas. The vaccine aims to induce both CD8+ cytotoxic and CD4+ helper T-cell responses by presenting major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class I and II peptides. Clinical studies have shown that the vaccine can elicit peptide-specific immune responses in patients with newly diagnosed glioblastoma or grade III astrocytoma, especially when administered with the adjuvant poly-ICLC. The primary indication for development has been for central nervous system tumors such as glioblastoma, oligodendroglioma, astrocytoma, and brain stem cancer[1][3][4][5].
