IMA970A is an off-the-shelf therapeutic multi-peptide-based vaccine developed for the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). It consists of sixteen peptides derived from tumor-associated antigens (TAAs) expressed by hepatic tumor cells. These peptides are selected to cover a range of human leukocyte antigen (HLA) types—seven restricted to HLA-A2, five to HLA-A24, and four to HLA class II—to stimulate a broad immune response in patients with liver cancer. The mechanism of action involves immunostimulation; the vaccine is designed to induce T-cell responses against multiple TAAs present in liver tumors. Clinical trials have evaluated its use both alone and in combination with adjuvants such as Montanide or CV8102 and sometimes following cyclophosphamide pre-treatment[1][2][3][4][5]. The primary indication is hepatocellular carcinoma.
