Imaveral

Imaveral is a veterinary antifungal medication containing enilconazole (100 mg/mL) as its active ingredient. It is a small molecule imidazole derivative that functions by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, a critical component of fungal cell membranes, specifically by targeting the enzyme lanosterol 14-alpha-demethylase. Developed and marketed by Laboratoires Audevard (following acquisition from Elanco Animal Health), Imaveral is formulated as a concentrated topical solution that requires dilution before application. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of dermatophytoses (ringworm) caused by various fungi, including *Trichophyton equinum*, *Trichophyton verrucosum*, *Trichophyton mentagrophytes*, and *Microsporum* species, in horses, cattle, dogs, and cats.
