Overview

IMB-105 is a recombinant humanized monoclonal antibody targeting the Receptor Activator of Nuclear Factor Kappa-B Ligand (RANKL). Developed by Shanxi Pude Pharma, a subsidiary of Harbin Gloria Pharmaceuticals, it is being developed as a biosimilar candidate for denosumab. The drug functions by binding to RANKL, thereby preventing it from activating its receptor, RANK, on the surface of osteoclasts and their precursors. This inhibition leads to a reduction in osteoclast formation, function, and survival, which in turn decreases bone resorption and increases bone mineral density. IMB-105 is primarily intended for the treatment of osteoporosis and the prevention of skeletal-related events in patients with bone metastases from solid tumors.
