Overview

IMB1001 is a preclinical, first-in-class humanized monoclonal antibody that targets CD226 (also known as DNAX accessory molecule-1 or DNAM-1), a transmembrane glycoprotein involved in immune response regulation. By blocking CD226 signaling, IMB1001 downregulates the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines, increases anti-inflammatory cytokine levels, and upregulates regulatory T cell (Treg) function. This mechanism offers potential disease-modifying effects and broad applicability across multiple immune-mediated inflammatory diseases (IMIDs), particularly for patients who do not respond to or cannot tolerate current standard-of-care therapies. The drug was originally developed by TNAX Biopharma and is now being advanced by IMIDomics through an exclusive worldwide licensing agreement. WuXi Biologics has been engaged for process development and manufacturing support[1][2][4][8].
