Overview

iMBP-AE-201 is a multi-domain recombinant fusion protein developed by iMetabolic Biopharma Corp. in partnership with OmniAb. It is engineered to recognize key features of chylomicron and very low-density lipoprotein (VLDL) remnant particles associated with dyslipidemias such as Hyperlipoproteinemia Type III (HLP3). The drug’s mechanism involves acting as a post-expression gene therapy that restores metabolic competency and promotes the clearance of dysfunctional lipoprotein particles from circulation. Its primary therapeutic focus is on rare lipid disorders, particularly those resulting from the ApoE2/E2 genotype, such as Hyperlipidemia Type IIa and Hyperlipoproteinemia Type III[1][3][5].
