Overview

IMC-002 + paclitaxel is an investigational combination therapy of a fully human IgG4 anti-CD47 monoclonal antibody (IMC-002) and the chemotherapeutic agent paclitaxel. IMC-002 blocks the CD47–signal regulatory protein alpha (SIRPα) interaction, enhancing macrophage-mediated phagocytosis of cancer cells. Paclitaxel is a well-established antineoplastic agent that stabilizes microtubules, preventing cell division and promoting apoptosis in cancer cells. This combination is under exploration for enhanced anti-tumor activity, leveraging both immune checkpoint inhibition and cytotoxic chemotherapy. IMC-002 is developed primarily for advanced solid tumors and hematological malignancies, while the combination with paclitaxel is being investigated clinically in solid tumor indications, with biliary tract cancer (BTC) as a primary focus.
