IMC-NC7 is a **fully human monoclonal antibody** that targets and inhibits the activity of **FLT3** (Fms-like tyrosine kinase 3), a receptor tyrosine kinase implicated in hematologic malignancies. It blocks the binding of FLT3 ligand to the receptor, resulting in the inhibition of FLT3 phosphorylation and downstream activation, which disrupts signaling pathways crucial for the survival and proliferation of leukemia cells. In preclinical research, IMC-NC7 was shown to consistently inhibit FLT3 phosphorylation, which distinguishes it mechanistically from the related antibody IMC-EB10[4][10]. Both antibodies have demonstrated efficacy in prolonging survival and/or reducing leukemic cell engraftment in vivo, with IMC-NC7 displaying a stronger inhibitory effect on FLT3 activity[4][10][7]. Potential indications include acute myeloid leukemia and possibly other FLT3-expressing hematological malignancies, though clinical development remains limited.
