Overview

IMC008 is an autologous CAR-T cell therapy developed by Immunofoco (Suzhou Immunofoco Biotechnology) that targets Claudin 18.2 (CLDN18.2), a tight junction protein highly expressed in certain gastrointestinal cancers, including gastric and pancreatic cancer. The therapy utilizes a synthetic natural killer receptor (SNR) technology platform to engineer T cells with an activating NKG2D receptor, enhancing their ability to recognize and kill CLDN18.2-expressing tumor cells[3][4][5]. IMC008 has received Orphan Drug Designation from the US FDA for both gastric and pancreatic cancers and is currently being evaluated in phase 1 clinical trials for advanced solid tumors, including stomach, esophageal, gastroesophageal junction adenocarcinoma, and pancreatic cancers[3][4][5].
