IMD-026

IMD-026 is an investigational phosphorus dendrimer-based macromolecule being developed by IMD Pharma for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis (RA). As a novel macromolecular chemical modality and an improved version of the earlier candidate IMD-006, it is designed as a non-immunosuppressive anti-inflammatory agent. The drug works by interacting with multiple receptors on immune cells, specifically monocytes, with nanomolar affinity to rebalance the dysregulated immune system rather than suppressing it. This multivalent approach aims to resolve inflammation and inhibit bone resorption and cartilage destruction with a potentially improved safety profile compared to conventional immunosuppressive therapies. It is currently in late non-clinical development.
