Overview

IMD-1618 is a bispecific antibody (bsAb) developed by Affinity Biopharmaceutical for the treatment of solid tumors. It is designed to simultaneously target Claudin-6 (CLDN6) and CD3. CLDN6 is a tight junction protein that is highly expressed in several types of cancer, such as ovarian and lung cancer, but has very low expression in normal adult tissues, making it a promising tumor-associated antigen. By binding to CD3 on T cells and CLDN6 on tumor cells, IMD-1618 acts as a T-cell engager, redirecting the cytotoxic activity of T cells to specifically eliminate CLDN6-expressing cancer cells. The drug is currently in preclinical development.
