IMD-2032 is a bifunctional recombinant fusion protein developed by Shanghai Affinity Biopharmaceutical, designed to simultaneously target the Programmed Cell Death Protein 1 (PD-1) and Interleukin-2 (IL-2) pathways. The molecule is engineered using the company's proprietary Tumor Microenvironment Activated (TMA) platform, which utilizes a masking technology to restrict the activity of the IL-2 component until it reaches the tumor microenvironment. This design aims to enhance the synergistic anti-tumor effects of PD-1 blockade and IL-2-mediated T-cell stimulation while significantly reducing the systemic toxicities, such as vascular leak syndrome, typically associated with high-dose IL-2 therapy. IMD-2032 is currently being investigated for the treatment of various solid tumors.
