IMD-2035 is a multi-functional recombinant fusion protein developed by Shanghai Affinity Biopharmaceutical for the treatment of solid tumors. The molecule is designed to simultaneously modulate three distinct pathways within the tumor microenvironment: it acts as a checkpoint inhibitor by targeting Programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1), an anti-angiogenic agent by neutralizing Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), and an immune stimulator by incorporating an Interleukin-2 (IL-2) moiety to activate the IL-2 receptor. This tri-functional approach aims to provide synergistic anti-tumor activity by enhancing T-cell and NK-cell infiltration and function while restricting the tumor's blood supply. IMD-2035 is currently in early-stage development, utilizing the company's expertise in tumor microenvironment-activated biologics.
