Overview

IMD-2113 is a bispecific antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) developed by Affinity Biopharmaceutical, currently in preclinical development for the treatment of solid tumors. The molecule is designed to simultaneously target two well-characterized tumor antigens: the Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor (EGFR) and Trophoblast Cell Surface Antigen 2 (TROP2). By binding to both targets, IMD-2113 aims to achieve superior tumor selectivity and potency compared to monospecific ADCs, potentially overcoming heterogeneity in antigen expression and reducing systemic toxicity. Upon binding to the target cells and subsequent internalization, the ADC releases a cytotoxic payload to induce cell death. This dual-targeting strategy is intended to address a wide range of solid tumors where both EGFR and TROP2 are overexpressed.
