Overview

IMD-2206 is an antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) being developed by Shanghai Affinity Biopharmaceutical for the treatment of solid tumors, with a primary focus on colorectal cancer. The drug targets Lymphocyte antigen 6 family member G6D (LY6G6D), a tumor-associated antigen that is highly and selectively expressed in certain malignancies while showing restricted expression in normal tissues. IMD-2206 consists of a monoclonal antibody specific to LY6G6D conjugated to a cytotoxic payload. The mechanism of action involves the antibody binding to LY6G6D on the surface of tumor cells, followed by internalization of the conjugate and subsequent release of the cytotoxic agent to induce cell death. As of early 2024, IMD-2206 is in preclinical development.
