IMD-511 is a bispecific antibody biologic being developed by Affinity Biopharmaceutical for the treatment of HER2-positive malignancies, specifically breast and gastric cancers. The molecule is designed to function as a T-cell engager, simultaneously binding to the Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2 (HER2) expressed on the surface of tumor cells and the CD3 subunit of the T-cell receptor complex on T lymphocytes. By bridging these two cell types, IMD-511 redirects the cytotoxic activity of T cells to selectively eliminate HER2-expressing cancer cells. Currently in the preclinical stage of development, IMD-511 aims to provide a potent immunotherapy option for patients with HER2-driven solid tumors.
