IMD-917 is a bispecific antibody biologic being developed by Affinity Biopharmaceutical for the treatment of solid tumors. It is designed to function as a T-cell engager by simultaneously targeting Delta-like ligand 3 (DLL3) on tumor cells and the CD3 subunit of the T-cell receptor complex on T-lymphocytes. This dual binding mechanism facilitates the recruitment and activation of cytotoxic T-cells directly to the tumor site, leading to the selective destruction of DLL3-expressing cancer cells. DLL3 is a protein that is highly expressed in neuroendocrine tumors, such as small cell lung cancer (SCLC), but has limited expression in normal tissues, making it an attractive target for immunotherapy. IMD-917 is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
