Drug intelligence / Profile preview
iMDF (iPS-Megakaryocyte Derived Factors) is a growth factor cocktail biologic developed by Megakaryon Corporation. It is composed of a mixture of growth factors secreted and purified from mature megakaryocytes that are derived from human induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells. The product is designed to provide trophic and regenerative activity or functional components for a variety of applications, including pharmaceutical products, cosmetics, and as a cell culture medium additive. Megakaryon utilizes its proprietary technology to mass-produce mature megakaryocytes from immortalized megakaryocyte cell lines to extract and purify these factors for commercial and clinical use. The product is currently in preclinical development for broad regenerative and functional applications.
