Drug intelligence / Profile preview
IMDQ-PC (imidazoquinoline-poly(ethylene glycol)-cholesterol conjugate) is an experimental lipid amphiphile imidazoquinoline conjugate that acts as a Toll-like receptor 7/8 (TLR7/8) agonist. Developed by Ghent University and the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, it is designed as a lymph node-draining vaccine adjuvant to enhance immune responses, particularly Th1-biased humoral and cellular immunity. It has been evaluated in preclinical models as an adjuvant for various vaccines, including inactivated influenza vaccines, SARS-CoV-2 spike protein vaccines, HIV V1V2-scaffold vaccines, and severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome virus (SFTSV) vaccines.
