IMGS-001 is a novel dual-specific monoclonal antibody targeting both programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) and programmed death-ligand 2 (PD-L2). It is engineered with cytotoxic effector function designed to treat immune-excluded, cold tumors that are resistant to existing immunotherapies. By simultaneously binding PD-L1 and PD-L2 on tumor cells, immunosuppressive stromal cells, and endothelial cells in the tumor microenvironment, IMGS-001 blocks their interaction with the PD-1 receptor on T cells. This blockade restores T cell activation and function while its cytotoxic activity enables elimination of immunosuppressive cells expressing these ligands. Preclinical studies demonstrated superior survival benefit and tumor growth inhibition compared to currently approved checkpoint inhibitors. The drug is being developed primarily for advanced solid tumors including ovarian cancer, colorectal cancer, triple-negative breast cancer, and other immune-resistant cancers.
