Overview

Iminodyn-17 is a small molecule belonging to the iminochromene ("iminodyn") chemical series, developed as a dynamin inhibitor. It demonstrates inhibition of dynamin I and II in enzymatic assays. However, it is notable for its lack of effect on dynamin-mediated endocytosis in cells, which makes it a valuable negative control for cell-based assays. Dynamin is a large GTPase enzyme critical for various forms of endocytosis and plays a role in cellular processes such as vesicle trafficking, Golgi function, organelle division, and cell migration.
