This drug is a **combination therapy** consisting of imlunestrant (an oral selective estrogen receptor degrader, SERD), abemaciclib (a cyclin-dependent kinase 4 and 6 inhibitor), and an aromatase inhibitor (such as anastrozole, letrozole, or exemestane). Imlunestrant targets the estrogen receptor, abemaciclib inhibits CDK4 and CDK6 to block cell cycle progression, and aromatase inhibitors block estrogen synthesis.
