Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination therapy consisting of IMM-101 (heat-killed whole cell Mycobacterium obuense), pembrolizumab (anti-PD1 monoclonal antibody), and gemcitabine (pyrimidine antimetabolite chemotherapy). IMM-101 enhances innate immune responses and dendritic cell maturation, increasing antigen-specific responses and numbers of CD8+ CTL and CD4+ Th1 cells. Pembrolizumab blocks the PD-1 pathway, enhancing T-cell responses against tumor cells. Gemcitabine is a cytotoxic agent that interferes with DNA synthesis. This triple combination aims to leverage immunomodulatory effects with checkpoint inhibition and cytotoxic chemotherapy for enhanced anti-tumor activity.
