IMM-686 is a polyclonal antibody drug candidate developed by Immuron Limited in collaboration with Monash University for the prevention and treatment of Vancomycin-Resistant Enterococci (VRE) infections. The product is derived from hyperimmune bovine colostrum, which is harvested from cows immunized with proprietary VRE vaccines. This colostrum is processed into a freeze-dried powder containing high titers of reactive antibodies specific to *Enterococcus faecalis* and *Enterococcus faecium*. Administered orally, IMM-686 acts locally in the gastrointestinal tract to neutralize VRE bacterial antigens, aiming to reduce colonization and prevent systemic infection, thereby addressing a critical antimicrobial resistance threat in healthcare settings.
