Overview

**ImMucin** is an investigational synthetic 21-amino-acid therapeutic peptide cancer vaccine corresponding to the complete signal-peptide domain of the tumor-associated antigen mucin-1. Developed by Vaxil BioTherapeutics, it is intended to generate broad MUC1-specific cellular and humoral immunity, including CD4-positive and CD8-positive T-cell responses and anti-peptide antibodies, across multiple major histocompatibility complex alleles. In a Phase I/II study in MUC1-positive multiple myeloma after autologous stem-cell transplantation, intradermal ImMucin co-administered with separate human granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor was reported to be generally well tolerated and immunogenic. It is not an approved therapy. ([onlinelibrary.wiley.com](https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/pdfdirect/10.1111/bjh.13245))
