Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Immuncell-LC + temozolomide is a combination therapy under investigation primarily for glioblastoma and other cancers. **Immuncell-LC** is an autologous immune cell therapy derived from peripheral blood mononuclear cells; these are cultured ex vivo to generate cytotoxic T lymphocytes and cytokine-induced killer (CIK) cells, intended to stimulate the immune response against tumors. **Temozolomide** is a small molecule oral alkylating agent that methylates DNA to induce tumor cell apoptosis and is a standard treatment for glioblastoma. The combination is being clinically evaluated for improved efficacy and safety relative to temozolomide alone, especially in newly diagnosed glioblastoma[1][3][4][6].
