Overview

Immune Killer Cell (IKC) is a proprietary autologous immune cell therapy developed by Ivy Life Sciences. The therapy involves the extraction of a patient's own peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs), which are then activated and expanded ex vivo using a specific cytokine cocktail to generate a population of highly potent 'killer cells' (typically characterized as Cytokine-Induced Killer or CIK cells). These cells exhibit dual characteristics of T cells and Natural Killer (NK) cells, allowing them to recognize and eliminate a broad range of cancer cells in a non-MHC-restricted manner. Once re-infused into the patient, IKC targets malignant tissues while minimizing damage to healthy cells. The platform is primarily being investigated for the treatment of solid tumors, including glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), hepatocellular carcinoma, and non-small cell lung cancer.
