Edity Therapeutics' immune sensor-enhanced CAR-T cells are a next-generation cell therapy platform designed to treat solid tumors by overcoming the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment (TME). The platform utilizes AI-guided computational optimization to integrate engineered innate immune sensors, specifically derived from the STING (Stimulator of Interferon Genes) and MAVS (Mitochondrial Antiviral-Signaling Protein) pathways, into CAR-T cells. These sensors are fused to a navigator domain that ensures their activation is strictly dependent on CAR signaling upon antigen engagement at the tumor site. Once activated, these sensor modules drive the production of Type I interferons and pro-inflammatory cytokines, effectively converting an immune-cold TME into an inflamed milieu. This localized immune provocation is intended to induce robust systemic anti-tumor immunity while minimizing peripheral adverse effects.
