Overview

This is a combination cell therapy consisting of immune suppressive human adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells (hAD-MSCs) and hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs). Mesenchymal stem/stromal cells are multipotent stromal cells derived from adipose tissue that possess immunomodulatory properties, including the ability to attenuate inflammation by modulating both innate and adaptive immune responses. Hematopoietic stem cells are responsible for the generation of all blood cell lineages and play a key role in reconstituting the hematopoietic system following injury or transplantation. The combination aims to leverage the immunosuppressive effects of hAD-MSCs with the regenerative capacity of HSCs, potentially enhancing therapeutic outcomes in conditions characterized by excessive inflammation or immune dysregulation. This approach is under investigation for various indications, including traumatic brain injury and other inflammatory or degenerative diseases[1].
