Overview
IMMUNEPOTENT-CRP is a dialyzable leukocyte extract (DLE) derived from bovine spleen cells. It consists of a complex mixture of low-molecular-weight molecules (less than 10 kDa), including peptides and nucleotides, that act as immunomodulators. The drug is designed to transfer cell-mediated immunity and regulate the inflammatory response by modulating the production of key cytokines such as interleukin-6 (IL-6), tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α), and interferon-gamma (IFN-γ). Developed by the Laboratorio de Inmunología y Virología at the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León (UANL) in Mexico, it has been studied as an adjuvant therapy in oncology to mitigate chemotherapy-induced toxicity and as a treatment for infectious and inflammatory conditions, including sepsis and COVID-19.
