Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Immunim** (also known as **CPM-01** or **CPM01**) is a standardized herbal tincture developed by the **Centre for Plant Medicine Research** (CPMR) in Ghana. It is a hydroethanolic extract prepared from the dried leaves of *Azadirachta indica* (neem). Originally developed as an immunomodulatory agent and immune system support supplement, Immunim has been registered by the Ghana Foods and Drugs Authority (FDA) for the management of COVID-19 symptoms and to expedite patient recovery. In vitro studies have demonstrated that CPM-01 and its fractions exhibit potent anti-SARS-CoV-2 activity, specifically inhibiting the viral ORF3a protein and preventing virus-induced cytopathic effects. Ongoing pharmaceutical development includes the formulation of the tincture into a standardized tablet dosage form to improve patient compliance and consistency.
