Drug intelligence / Profile preview
immunoBON is a dietary food for special medical purposes (FSMP) developed for the management of allergic rhinitis, including hay fever, house dust mite, and pet hair allergies. The product is based on the "farm effect," a phenomenon where exposure to traditional farm environments protects against the development of allergies. The active ingredient is a proprietary whey protein complex containing **beta-lactoglobulin (BLG)**, a lipocalin protein that acts as a carrier for essential micronutrients such as iron, zinc, and vitamin A (retinoic acid). By delivering these ligands directly to immune cells, immunoBON helps stabilize the immune system and promotes the induction of immune tolerance, thereby reducing the allergic inflammatory response. It is administered as a lozenge to facilitate mucosal uptake.
