Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Immunsil is an immunomodulatory dietary supplement developed by NutriMed Group, primarily marketed for strengthening the immune system and preventing respiratory infections. The formulation typically centers on high-purity beta-1,3/1,6-glucans derived from the cell walls of *Saccharomyces cerevisiae*. These polysaccharides act as biological response modifiers by binding to specific receptors (such as Dectin-1) on the surface of innate immune cells, including macrophages, neutrophils, and natural killer cells, thereby enhancing their phagocytic activity and cytokine production. The 'Immunsil D3' variant incorporates Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) and Zinc (as zinc glycinate) to provide synergistic support for both innate and adaptive immune responses, facilitating T-cell activation and maintaining mucosal barrier integrity. It is used as a prophylactic measure during periods of increased seasonal infections or as an adjunct during recovery from viral and bacterial illnesses.
