IMNN-001 is a DNA-based immunotherapy designed for the localized treatment of advanced ovarian cancer and related gynecologic malignancies. It consists of an interleukin 12 (IL‑12) plasmid DNA vector encased in a nanoparticle delivery system that enables cell transfection and persistent local secretion of the IL‑12 protein. This approach harnesses the potent immunostimulatory properties of IL‑12 to induce T lymphocyte and natural killer cell proliferation within the tumor microenvironment. The drug is administered intraperitoneally and has been evaluated in combination with standard neoadjuvant and adjuvant chemotherapy regimens (carboplatin plus paclitaxel). Developed using Imunon's proprietary TheraPlas platform technology, IMNN‑001 aims to improve overall survival in patients with newly diagnosed advanced epithelial ovarian cancer by enhancing anticancer immunity while maintaining a favorable safety profile[1][4][5][6][7].
