Overview
IMP08 is a small molecule inhibitor of the Ataxia Telangiectasia Mutated (ATM) kinase, developed by Impact Therapeutics. ATM is a serine-protein kinase that serves as a master regulator of the cellular response to DNA double-strand breaks (DSBs). By inhibiting ATM, IMP08 disrupts the DNA damage response (DDR) pathway, which can sensitize cancer cells to DNA-damaging agents such as radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Furthermore, IMP08 is being explored for its potential to exploit synthetic lethality in tumors with pre-existing DNA repair deficiencies. The drug is currently in the IND-enabling/Phase 1 stage of development for the treatment of neoplasms.
